The Irving Arts Center & Terra Art presents “Colores del Perú” with six contemporary artists from Peru: Jorge Arce, José Gómez, Wilbert Piscoya, Joselito Sabogal, Borka Sattler and Juan Carlos Zeballos.

The paintings in the exhibition represent a variety of expressions and styles, from the figurative to the abstract. Through color, allegory and pre-Columbian iconography, as well as images inspired by nature and the urban environment, these artists represent the energy and mystery of ancient and modern Peru and explore the complexity of Peruvian identity.

A través del color, la alegoría y la iconografía precolombina, así como imágenes inspiradas en la naturaleza y el entorno urbano, estos artistas representan la energía y el misterio del Perú antiguo y moderno y exploran la complejidad de la identidad peruana”.
