Multidisciplinary artist in essential forms of post in formalist painting, each of his paintings are diaphanous curtains of diaphanous colors that arouse graphism of the taoist and Buddhist tradition, dripping, sinuous textures on verticals colorations, veiling’s and concatenated strokes in the metalanguage of abstract painting, all of his paintings and drawings are reasons for intrigue and the conjecture of a world submitted under its own laws, peace and violence in those visuals travels that remit to their own syntax, bloom of that hidden poetry that vibrates and crackles its plastic language.
Jorge Arce, as an artist, has been described as an authentic creator by having a particular vision of the world that is singular and un transferable in its color and stroke. He summarizes his story on his way of reminding his childhood in front of the sea, between the Siena’s and blues that exploded in his retina, of his first drawings on water and sand spaces which became his own workshop and home, of his walks through Lima´s streets and the secrets of his heart of those years in Italy, of his journeys in Latin America, on paths of sunny towns and mountains that always sing a pray to the wind and God.
