Marly de Oliveria

Born in Belém, Brazil -  She started painting in Ecuador where she studied with Professors Eduardo and Ester Cayon. She is a resident of Montreal since 1990.

The rich colors and lush tropical scenes that set her work apart have been on display at various exhibitions in Montreal. During the celebrations of the 500th Anniversary of Brazil she had an individual exhibition and participated in a collective one, both at the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization in Montreal. Her work has also won acclaim in Florida, Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary. She took classes with Madeleine Grenier and Alain Surprenant and in 1996 started painting on ceramics at the Saidye Bronfman School.
