have the pleasure to invite you to the Opening reception of the IX edition of Latín American Art 2018 

Monday, October 22 @ 6.30pm.

Terra Art is pleased to present its 9th consecutive Art Exhibition of Latin American, entitled "Art of the Americas" this year. The exhibition will be held October 21-24 in the Jean Pigott Room at the City of Ottawa, 110 Laurier Ave. West - Ottawa.

This Exhibition will portray the soul and deep sentiments of South, Central and North America as well as the Caribbean through the artists' representations. We have compiled emerging and mid-career artists from the countries that will be participating this year. 

TERRA ART, a leader in artistic consulting with more than 9 years of experience promoting different international artists, brings together this year works by 37 painters and 1 Sculptor from 21 countries of the Americas. The event will be under the usual auspices of the Latin American diplomatic missions and North American entities. The exhibition will run from October 22 at 6.30pm. until the 24, with daily gallery hours from 10am. to 8pm.


For the second year, Terra Art adds to its program a concert with the “Colores Andinos” group, on Sunday, October 21 and a literary evening, on Wednesday, October 24.

7 musicians from the Americas exploring Andean ethnic roots in harmony with elements of contemporary genres such as salsa, cumbia and Latin jazz. More than 20 instruments with original and other traditional songs arranged and interpreted from a unique perspective that emanates from musical training and long experience of its members, originally from Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Peru and Canada. A multicultural combination that only happens in Canada!

Monday 22 OCT. 6.30 p.m.- Inauguration of the exhibition

Terra Art presents 67 works by 37 painters, 1 sculptor from 22 countries of the Americas. This group of emerging and accomplished artists already enshrined in their respective countries, testify through their beautiful works of art recent innovations and plastic trends. The presentation will be by Lilia Faulkner.

Opening reception by invitation Only!


Thursday OCT. 24, 7 p.m.- Literary evening

Terra Art inaugurates this year a space for literary creation in Spanish. This evening will consist of reading works (poetry, stories, reflections) of Latin American authors, by local writers and other readers. This year, the TERRA ART exhibition will highlight a group of famous and acclaimed Latin American, Caribbean, Canadian and US artists. The artists being showcased were invited directly from their countries thanks to the auspices of their respective Embassies in Canada:  Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru & Uruguay.

During the exhibition, TERRA ART will have the honour of publicly recognizing the effort and collaboration of three distinguished individuals for their unconditional support to Latin American Art:

- His Excellency, Frantz Liautaud, (Ambassador of Haiti),

- Mrs. Geralde Acarre (Minister of the Embassy of Haiti), and

- Mrs. Mariem Martínez   (Minister Consuler of the Embassy of Cuba).


Following the presentations will be a reception where you can interact with the artists present!

"ART OF THE AMERICAS" 2018 is pleased to present Master Pedro Caballero, Eduardo Kingman & Rita Letendre as the principal artist to commemorate the Month of Spanish Heritage and Culture in Canada. Both Pedro Caballero (Peru), and Master Rita Letendre (Canada) are internationally renowned painters recognized as living legends of their time. Their work have been widely exhibited, with their powerful paintings gracing numerous public spaces, galleries and private collections all over the world.
